Fall Colors on the Blue Ridge Parkway

Fall Colors on the Blue Ridge Parkway

The fall season here in Western North Carolina seemed to be short-lived. Whether it was the abundance of rain we had in the summer months or the wind storms that swooped in during October, it felt like we got robbed of our celebrated fall colors.

This photograph was taken on the Blue Ridge Parkway around 3,600ft elevation. Both lower and higher elevations had very few colors during the time I spent driving the parkway. However, I was fortunate enough to find a small pocket of beautiful red, orange, yellow, and greens on this particular curve.
